As an environmental Field Technician, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our environment by collecting samples and monitoring potential pollution sources. Your work will contribute to ensuring public health and ecosystem well-being, making a real difference in the world. As a Field Technician, you will have a weekly routine driving route 2‑4 days a week where you will collect and analyze field samples.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely and efficiently drive assigned routes, arriving at designated locations for customers on time.
- Collect samples of water and soil for laboratory analysis.
- Perform on‑site testing and analysis of samples in a field setting.
- Load and unload laboratory samples and field equipment.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while operating a company vehicle.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist senior technicians and scientists with more complex laboratory procedures.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Authorization to work in the US indefinitely without sponsorship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Position is full‑time.
- Regular business hours of operation are 7:30 AM–4:30 PM;
Field Technician positions allow for flexible scheduling. - Location:
Huntsville, TX. - Pay range: $15–20 /hr, reviewed based on experience.
