Description
BMA is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our back office team in Huntsville, AL.
Job Summary- The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s industrial security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements.
- As the primary point of contact for all security matters, the FSO ensures the protection of classified and sensitive information, oversees personnel security clearances, and manages facility accreditation and access control.
- The FSO works closely with program managers, employees, and government customers to promote a strong security culture and maintain full compliance with federal contract security requirements.
- Key responsibilities include conducting security education and training, processing personnel security actions, managing incident reporting, and ensuring timely submission of documentation through DISS, NBIS, and NISS.
- The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of government security regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance operational needs with strict security compliance.
There is a Top Secret clearance requirement upon hire.
Required Skills & Certifications- 3+ years experience as an FSO and/or AFSO
- Top Secret Security Clearance
- Thorough knowledge of DISS, NBIS, NISS, ACCS, FAMS, and the G2 Adjudication Database
- Experience conducting self inspections and conducting security briefings or security education program briefings
- Experience initiating and maintaining security clearances
- Experience as an Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO)
- Experience processing visit requests in DISS and ACCS
- Experience preparing and flowing down prime DD254s
- Experience initiating the process for CAC issuance
- Thorough knowledge of SEAD 3 reporting requirements
- Possess basic knowledge of CUI regulations and markings
- Be able to perform NATO and COMSEC briefings
