Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is looking for a Security Specialist I to oversee Equipment Redistribution & Divestiture (ERDS) at three Army Continuous Transformation (CT) focused locations:
Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, and Fort Carson, as well as 11 Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS) locations during fly‑away missions.
The Security Specialist, reporting to the Director of Security, will manage security clearances, personnel security records, and classified contract records to ensure compliance with all government regulations, including the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The role includes administering DoD and industrial security programs, developing and implementing security procedures, investigating incident reports, providing technical and physical support for high‑security areas, maintaining liaison with outside agencies, and overseeing access control and surveillance of facilities across the focused and MET sites of the contract.
Responsibilities- Primary point of contact for the PMO office, coordinating contract team personnel security functions at Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, Fort Carson, and 11 CONUS and OCONUS locations during MET missions.
- Daily use of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to facilitate visit requests, verify clearances, and maintain reference records.
- Daily use of ASC G2 system to enter requests for CACs and manage additional information; review/submittal of SF‑85s and fingerprints required.
- Complete/submit access forms, revalidation forms, CAC request (TASS/TARR) forms, and other required customer forms.
- Establish and maintain Occupational Reliability Program (ORP) in accordance with local guidance, federal laws, and Army guidance (e.g., AR 190‑11).
- Travel 25% to focus and MET sites to ensure compliance with Arms Storage Facility regulations (AR 710‑4, AR 710‑2, Appendix D of AR 190‑51).
- Perform other activities as assigned.
Salary: $48,271 – $71,000
Qualifications- Minimum of 1–2 years experience as a federal contractor providing industrial and information security support for government customers.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Proven ability to work independently in a deadline‑oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication skills.
- Must pass Pre‑Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
