Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an EH&S Safety Coordinator
Level 3 or Level 4 – to join our team in Huntsville, AL
.

This position is fully on‑site; remote work is not available. The EH&S Safety Coordinator is essential for ensuring safety training and compliance is current, and for keeping senior EH&S management updated on day‑to‑day safety operations in Huntsville and field locations as needed. The role will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities
  • Provide EH&S support to Launch Systems Programs
  • Schedule and conduct EH&S‑related training
  • Assist with accident/incident investigations
  • Conduct frequent safety walks and inspections
  • Assist with building MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) as needed
  • Conduct monthly AED inspections
  • Assist with ergonomic assessments and provide safety‑related guidance
  • Upload weekly EH&S operation activity report
  • Review safety plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications – Level 3
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience in Safety/EH&S.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, which typically requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to travel domestically to support launch campaigns and provide support at other sites as needed.
Basic Qualifications – Level 4
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of additional education and/or related experience in Safety/EH&S.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, which typically requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to travel domestically to support launch campaigns and provide support at other sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance of Secret or above.
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Risk Management, or similar.
  • Experience with ordnance handling/operations.
  • Familiarity with pressure operations, crane operations, and forklift operations.
  • Knowledge of fall protection, confined space operations, and working around/on scaffolding.
  • Certification(s) – OSHA, HAZMAT, NFPA, ANSI, RCRA, Certified Safety Professional.
Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 – $89,100.00.
Secondary Level Salary Range: $63,500.00 – $.
The range represents a general guideline;
