Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Utilities & Pipe Crew – Pipelayer in the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, reporting to the General Manager of Construction & Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation across existing operations and through growth.

• Wages start at $23.00/hr (starting wage based on experience)
• Full‑time, Permanent
• Day Shift
• Weekend work may be required
• Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits

• Lay storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains, and water mains
• Use hand tools as needed
• Assist with setting grade and driving grade stakes
• Use pipe laser/level

• Minimum 1 year of experience in grading operations/utilities & pipe preferred
• Dedicated to working safely at all times
• Experience with GPS control preferred
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary
• Team player
• Valid driver’s license
• Distinguish and understand signals
• Read and understand grade stakes
• Use both hands and feet at the same time
• Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection
• Can hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment
• Can use mechanic’s hand tools and tape measure
• Can crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment
• Can lift and carry objects and materials up to 100 pounds
• Good vision, both close‑up and long‑distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment
• Has reliable transportation to commute
• Self‑motivated, capable of performing duties independently
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
• Can work outside in all weather and tolerate loud noises
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required
• Can provide valid documentation for the I‑9 Immigration requirement
• Must be drug‑free, pass a pre‑employment drug screen, and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
