The successful candidate will possess hands‑on experience with generator control systems and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Install, calibrate, and service generator control panels and automatic transfer switches (ATS)
  • Provide on‑site diagnostics and emergency repair services for malfunctioning equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and performance evaluations across varied facilities
  • Analyze technical documentation and electrical schematics for troubleshooting and installation support
  • Maintain detailed service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used
  • Perform annual load testing on generators
  • Read and understand wiring schematics
  • Have a good understanding of diesel and spark‑ignition type engines
  • Have knowledge of basic electrical systems for power generation
  • Program and configure digital controller platforms (e.g., Deep Sea, Woodward, Cummins, and other equipment) as specified by project requirements
  • Stay current with advancements in generator control technologies and software
  • Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to align on project scope and timelines
  • Adhere strictly to safety procedures, electrical codes, and contractual compliance standards

  • Working with the Project Principals to coordinate all activities
  • Effectively coordinate a number of projects simultaneously

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience working on generator control systems
  • Vocational training or associate’s degree in electrical technology preferred
  • Familiarity with diesel and gas‑powered generator units
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Strong analytical abilities with a methodical approach to fault isolation and corrective action
  • Ability to work independently in mobile or remote contractor environments
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must have or be able to obtain/maintain clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as EGSA Certified Technician or NFPA 70E compliance highly valued
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions
