The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner.

• Operate heavy civil equipment such as excavators, backhoes, front‑end loaders, dozers, and compactors in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Understand grades, elevations, and contours as shown on civil and structural documents.
• Work closely with surveyors, field engineers, and foremen. Good communication skills are required.
• Maintain equipment according to manufacturer requirements and BLHI policies and procedures.
• Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely operated.

• Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, encouraging all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
