Collision Auto Body Technician

Key Job Responsibilities- Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plan the repair work required and prepare cost estimates for customers.
- Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
- Repair dents, dimples, and minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when necessary.
- Realign car chassis and frames to correct structural damage.
- Remove damaged vehicle sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts as required.
- Weld or otherwise attach parts in place and prep and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified or equivalent paint.
- Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
- Read job orders and work with very little supervision.
- Work effectively with other repairers in an auto body shop.
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
- Work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
