NTA, Inc. is seeking a skilled, motivated, and experienced Software Engineer to support research, development, and engineering activities at Redstone Arsenal. Duties will include the development of real‑time software in support of Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL) test capabilities. These HWIL testbeds will support the design and integration of U.S. Army rocket and missile systems. As a senior engineer, you will be given the freedom to design creative solutions to complex technical problems.

Ideal candidates will be proficient in real‑time programming techniques (primarily in C/C++) and will also enjoy making architectural‑level design decisions. Applicants should be detail oriented with good analytical skills, a team player, and be able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant field

• Experience with object‑oriented software development in C++
• Experience with low‑level systems programming in C
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat
• Independent and self‑motivated problem solver and strategic thinker
• High level of computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with real‑time systems and software
• Experience managing a small team of developers
  
  Experience with HWIL simulations and/or embedded systems
• Experience with Linux kernel module and device driver development
• Experience with version control software and issue tracking (specifically git and Git Lab)

Applicant must have a current security clearance or be able to obtain a security clearance through a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship is required.
