Bentley is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team, focusing on integrating AI‑driven features into desktop applications. This role blends full‑stack engineering expertise with advanced AI/ML development, offering a unique opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies that enhance user workflows and decision‑making. You will be part of a dynamic development team building SYNCHRO – a revolutionary 4D construction planning and project management suite.

Your work will directly impact how infrastructure projects are designed, built, and delivered, driving smarter decisions and transforming the built environment.

• AI & ML Development:
  • Analyze user workflows and challenges to identify opportunities for AI enhancement.
  • Implement AI features using Lang Chain and MCP tooling.
  • Participate in improving AI/ML models using best practices (e.g., deep learning, LLMs).
  • Define evaluation metrics and usage telemetry for AI models.
  • Stay current with AI research and trends; bring ideas on technical trade‑offs and innovation.
  • Present POCs and prototypes to users for feedback and iteration.
• Software Engineering:
  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable desktop application features.
  • Develop and maintain core components and services, including Azure‑based cloud integrations.
  • Follow secure development practices and Dev Ops processes from design to delivery.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Support and maintain existing codebases; mentor team members and share knowledge.

• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, and model fine‑tuning.
• Familiarity with open‑source AI models (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral) and related tool chains (Lang Chain, Ollama).
• Proficiency with Type Script and React, with a strong understanding of modern software development practices.
• Experience with JS test frameworks, data structures, and OOP.
• Working experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, testable, efficient, and secure code.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Linux and Dev Ops tools (Git, Jira, Docker).

• Experience working with Electron applications.
• Experience working with SQLite databases.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and functional programming.
• Previous work with Azure Dev Ops and cloud‑native architectures.
