The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical solutions to our customers. This position is for a software engineer to support the LRHW software organization. You will help code, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems. This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will support the LRHW software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++

- Experience with full software life cycle development including SW design, architecture and integration & test
- Active Final Secret security clearance.
Desired

Skills:

- Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience - (Green Hill or VxWorks)
- A strong background in Linux and VxWorks operating systems
- A strong background in embedded SW architecture
- Extensive experience in C++ programming
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
