Junior Software Developer w/ TS/SCI Clearance

Leidos is recruiting a Junior Software Developer with a TS/SCI security clearance to work on modeling & simulation efforts and hardware integration within the Sensor Systems Analysis & Engineering Portfolio. You will collaborate with a diverse team of developers, engineers, and scientists to design, develop, and maintain software that addresses complex defense challenges.

• Write software primarily in C++ and Python to solve problems in EO/IR sensor systems, modeling & simulation, and related disciplines.
• Design and document object‑oriented solutions, produce design documentation, and create requirements specifications.
• Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, working across Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science field with at least 2 years of relevant software development experience.
• TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to maintain a DoW clearance.
• Intermediate proficiency in C++/Python and experience using Git for version control.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

• Highly organized, able to work independently within a fast‑paced environment.
• Recent stellar academic performance or a TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Interest or experience in EO/IR phenomenology, image processing, GPU/CUDA programming, AI/ML solutions, or build systems such as CMake.

$69,550.00 - $ (general guideline; final compensation depends on responsibilities, experience, and other factors).
