Position: STSY - Senior Software Developer with Security Clearance
Strait Sys Inc Regular Primary Function Serve as a senior technical engineer for the ET&T Custom Applications team, responsible for developing and delivering modern, containerized, cloud-ready applications. This role will help set the technical direction for Yulista's next generation of custom tools, services, and enterprise integrations-leveraging cutting-edge software development frameworks, Dev Sec Ops , containerization, and modern application design patterns to transform how the business operates.

Essential Duties
* Architect, design, and develop modern C# .NET applications leveraging microservices, containers (Docker/Podman), and cloud-native patterns.

* Lead the transition to containerized workloads, establishing templates, standards, and best practices for the Custom Apps team.

* Build secure, scalable REST APIs and backend services that power business-critical systems across the enterprise.

* Implement API-first, modular architectures that integrate with platforms like Costpoint, Salesforce, Workday, SharePoint, and custom ET&T solutions.

* Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and Dev Sec Ops  workflows to ensure rapid, secure delivery.

* Serve as a technical trailblazer for emerging technologies, prototyping and validating new frameworks, architectures, and patterns for enterprise adoption.

* Collaborate closely with the Data team to align custom applications with enterprise data models, SQL Server designs, and data governance standards.

* Create documentation, architectural diagrams, and development standards that will guide future Custom Apps developers.

* Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and support junior and mid-level developers on the team.

* Troubleshoot and resolve deep technical issues across distributed systems, APIs, and cloud environments. Supervisory Responsibilities Serve as a senior technical mentor and may act as a functional team lead as the Custom Apps team grows. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Expert-level skills in C# .NET, asynchronous programming, API architecture, and modern backend development.

* Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes, AKS, Open Shift, etc.).

* Strong background in REST API design, microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architecture.

* Knowledge of Azure (including GCCH) cloud services, identity patterns, secure secrets management, and modern deployment models.

* Proficiency in SQL Server, schema design, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

* Experience building applications that integrate with enterprise systems (Costpoint, Salesforce, Workday, SharePoint, etc.).

* Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  tooling CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, IaC, vulnerability scanning, container security.

* Ability to evaluate, adopt, and champion emerging technologies that advance the Custom Apps ecosystem.

* Clear, effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

* 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 3-5 years working in modern .NET and API-heavy environments.

* Possession of an active Secret clearance is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold a clearance must be willing and able to obtain one.
* Demonstrated experience designing or leading containerized application architectures.

* Proven ability to guide technical strategy, mentor developers, and lead complex projects.

* Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure/GCCH) and enterprise-grade integrations strongly preferred.
