POSITION: Development Lead
LOCATION
:
Huntsville, AL
SCOPE:Serves as a Development Lead on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army. Direct application development, modernization, sustainment, database integration, Dev Sec Ops and application security for enterprise/platform applications. Build a disciplined software-factory model that converts mission requirements and defects into secure, tested, documented and supportable releases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead full SDLC for new development, modernization, re-engineering, sustainment and legacy modification.
- Lead .NET/C#, Angular/JavaScript, SQL Server, APIs, Power Platform, SharePoint and approved enterprise technologies.
- Establish source control, branching/tagging, pull requests, code review, CI/CD, release packaging and rollback.
- Integrate Fortify/static analysis, DISA Application Development STIG, OWASP Top 10, dependency review, FOSS risk and SBOM practices.
- Coordinate developers, DBAs, cyber, CM, infrastructure, service desk and Government product owners.
- Use DOORS, Magic Draw and Windchill where software intersects controlled requirements or product baselines.
- Require traceability, test evidence, scans, approvals, deployment artifacts and rollback procedures for releases.
- Lead application vulnerability remediation and risk disposition.
- Mentor a high-performing engineering team across classified and unclassified portfolios.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years software/application engineering with progressive technical leadership.
- Strong .NET/C#, web, SQL/database, API/integration, source-control and enterprise SDLC experience.
- Secure software development, static analysis, vulnerability remediation and Dev Sec Ops experience.
- GOTS/MOTS/COTS integration and legacy modernization experience.
- Strong technical writing, architecture and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance/access.
PREFERRED/HIGHLY DESIRED
:
- Azure Dev Ops/Git, Angular, SQL Server, Open Shift/containers, Power Platform, SharePoint or Laserfiche.
- Fortify, OWASP, DISA Application Development STIG and SBOM/FOSS governance.
- DOORS/Magic Draw/Windchill and digital-engineering integration.
- Army acquisition, Redstone and RMF/ATO application experience.
