The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team and Advanced Avionics and Production Software (ADaPS) organization supporting development of test equipment software, hardware/software integration activities, and validation testing of the PAC-3 seeker in Huntsville, AL
.

The PAC-3 is designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, advanced threats and aircraft. The software engineer will join a team developing and testing complex test equipment for the PAC-3 capacity, development, and production programs. This role will have emphasis on understanding and enhancing testing of the next generation missile defense. The work entails requirements development, software development, integration with hardware, test development, execution, and troubleshooting production issues.

ADaPS (an organization of over 100 software engineers) supports programs across the entire portfolio of Boeing products including Space Launch System (SLS), Integrated Air Missile Defense efforts including PAC-3, and a variety of weapons, aircraft, and space programs across the Boeing Enterprise. • Supports the design, development, test, and integration of software models to emulate the behavior and functionality of hardware components or systems to provide an all-software test and integration environment
• Partners with hardware engineers by contributing to the identification and review of requirements and specifications for the hardware being emulated
• Supports the development, automation, test, integration, and administration of emulation strategies and technologies
• Supports the development of verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results for emulation technologies
• Supports collecting and analyzing in-use product data to design new or enhance existing products
• Contributes to the identification, debugging, and resolution of issues to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products
• Supports advising on software domains related to emulation technologies
• Supports creating and updating policies, practices and processes for emulation and virtualized resource management
• Supports implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to hardware emulation
• Supports hardware emulation project management activities

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• 1+ years’ experience in Software Engineering
• 1+ years’ experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python
• Experience in development, hardware & software qualifications, and/or hardware & software delivery

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant…
