Materials Handler

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the facility. Your expertise in warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management will ensure smooth and safe handling of goods. Responsibilities Safely load and unload materials using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes, adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate heavy equipment and material handling tools to move goods within the warehouse efficiently. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual handling techniques. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and inventory management systems.

Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and ensuring proper documentation. Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled with care during transfer processes. Follow safety protocols diligently during all warehouse operations to prevent accidents and injuries. Support warehouse supervisors in daily tasks, including organizing storage areas and optimizing space utilization. Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order processing as needed.

Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management systems. Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including materials handling and heavy lifting techniques.

Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory counts and order processing.
