Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori Schools is seeking a dependable Assistant Cook to join our team! You’ll support kitchen operations across our campuses, assisting with food prep, serving meals, dishwashing, and cleaning. You’ll also deliver meals to other campuses using a company vehicle — a clean driving record is required.

• Prepare and serve balanced, nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with menus, portion sizes, and dietary guidelines.
• Follow all CACFP guidelines and handle related documentation for program reimbursements.
• Maintain safe food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Adapt menus for children with dietary restrictions or allergies.
• Monitor food inventory and assist with supply orders within budget.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including equipment and food storage areas.
• Deliver meals to other campuses as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training.
• Foster a kind, respectful atmosphere for children.

• Prior experience as an Assistant Cook or in a kitchen setting (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of basic nutrition, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to adapt recipes for allergies and dietary needs.
• Strong culinary skills and time management.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
• Current Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A genuine passion for promoting healthy eating habits among children.
