The Photography Program in SHSU’s Department of Art is seeking applications for the position of Student Lab Tech. Responsibilities include checking out photography equipment to students, maintaining chemicals, ink, and studio lighting equipment as well as assisting students in the darkrooms, computer labs, and lighting studio. Qualified applicants should have experience working in a photographic darkroom and printing within a digital lab.
ExpectationsCheck out and track photography equipment. Maintain chemicals and produce a safe environment. Assist students with darkroom and digital lab work. Ensure studio lighting and equipment are functional.
Qualifications- Must be a Photo Major.
- Experience working in a photographic darkroom and digital lab printing.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
