General Requirements:

Associates degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design or related field. Three years of experience in the areas of computer-aided design (CAD) or design development or in a related field. Working experience in AutoCAD is required. Knowledge in Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Assists with the digital updates of building blueprints and campus maps. Provides technical support for the Campus Space Planner and Project Coordinator(s) in space planning and campus construction.

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Prepares detailed layouts of campus buildings and maps. Updates existing drawings with construction and renovation changes. Develops layouts for room and hallway directional signs in buildings. Prepares evacuation drawings for campus buildings. Makes scale calculations for updating the primary campus map with new construction. Produces prints of maps and building layouts to meet customer requirements. Trains student AutoCAD assistants when necessary.

Organizes department's plan room and oversees equipment repairs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
