ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Attendance and engagement are essential, including picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or fail to work a shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After being offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term training schedule. The myTime app is used to pick up desired shifts.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Guest Advocates welcome, thank and exceed guest service expectations, focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. They are knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions to drive adoption and guest loyalty and are empowered to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while maintaining quality.

ROLE SKILLS AND DAY-TO-DAY EXPECTATIONS:
The role provides you with skills and experiences including:

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits and services

A typical day may include the following responsibilities:

• Delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience
• Greeting guests as you perform daily tasks and assist with needs
• Being knowledgeable about store tools, products and services to solve issues
• Thanking guests for shopping at Target
• Scanning and bagging items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Informing guests about brand launches, store activities and events
• Explaining Target Loyalty benefits and assisting with enrollment; direct guests to use fulfillment services
• Using Target App features and Wallet with guests
• Handling returns per policy and collaborating with leadership as needed
• De-escalating situations and recovering the guest shopping experience following policies
• Providing easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up and Registry guests
• Maintaining a clean, organized work area and stocking supplies during store hours
• Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Working safely and reporting hazards; following safety policies and training
• Supporting guest services and cash office processes as needed, including cash management
• All other duties based on business needs
