Job Summary:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing products and systems in alignment with customer specifications, company goals, and industry standards. This role requires a strong focus on innovation, functionality, and manufacturability, as well as close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs, models, and drawings using CAD software.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather project requirements and ensure designs meet specifications.Conduct engineering analyses, such as stress testing, thermal analysis, and finite element analysis, to validate designs.Create prototypes and oversee product testing to refine and optimize designs.Research and integrate new materials, technologies, and processes to enhance product performance and reduce costs.Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, BOMs, and manuals.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to produce.Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues throughout the development and production process.Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.2+ years of experience in a design engineering role preferred.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar).Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.Job Type:
