Staff Pharmacist (hourly)

Walmart is looking for a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. This hourly position offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and a range of benefits for a balanced and rewarding experience.

$47.00/hr – $82.00/hr

• Provide pharmaceutical care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders.
• Counsel customers regarding health‑care and prescription medication needs while maintaining confidentiality and completing required documentation.
• Administer immunizations and other pharmacy‐developed programs in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations.
• Act as an advocate for patient‑centered care, adapting to patients from a variety of backgrounds and medical concerns and removing barriers to health.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in all patient‑care activities, including counseling, prescription processing, and medication administration.
• Engage in community outreach and events, such as Wellness Days, to promote health and wellness.
• Understand and contribute to pharmacy business functions—inventory control, cost savings, compliance, and customer service—while staying current on emerging health issues.
• Guide pharmacy staff on proper customer‑service techniques and conflict resolution to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Use data and personal interactions to understand community health concerns and support targeted care initiatives.
• Monitor and promote compliance with company policies, legal regulations, HIPAA, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, developing and implementing action plans where needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information in accordance with all applicable policies and regulations.
• Promote a culture of patient‑care safety, accuracy, and accountability, encouraging corrective action for identified issues.
• Support the implementation of business solutions and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs.
• Model integrity, ethical behavior, and a commitment to Walmart’s values, fostering a regenerative and inclusive workplace.
• Serve our customers and members with results, putting the customer first and making balanced, informed decisions.
• Display curiosity, continuous learning, and resilience while driving improvements and adopting new technologies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm
  
  D degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
• Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
• Completion of an ACPE‑Accredited Immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. The hourly wage range for this position is $47.12 – $82.69. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
