Position
Welder/Fabricator – Day
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (OT Friday as needed). Pay rate: $21.00 – $24.00+ (DOE) + Full Benefits Package.
Location:
Huron, SD.
Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry‑level welding position, with all work being completed with close supervision.

- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Able to learn company policies and procedures.
- Able to work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards.
- Able to follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead.
- Able to problem‑solve simple and non‑complex issues that need little judgement.
- Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
- Learn to read blueprints.
- Ability to work with others.
- Ability to work safely and accurately.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat‑groove welds.
- Able to fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
- Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
- Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set‑up and maintenance.
- General knowledge of equipment and operations.
- Basic understanding of weld symbols.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
- The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-1 years of welding experience preferred.
