Status: 72‑80 hours per two‑week pay period
Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; occasional 7:00 am

Statement of PurposeThe RN/LPN provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practice in a confidential manner, with a focus on annual wellness visits. Assists the physician with procedures within the clinic, ensuring quality, efficient, caring, and professional care and treatment of the patients. Performs overall RN/LPN care, with an emphasis on Annual Wellness visits; including triage for drop‑in and telephone patients, immunization administration and oversight.
The RN/LPN provides direct nursing care for individual patients with well‑defined nursing diagnoses. The RN/LPN communicates with and on behalf of the patient and coordinates patient care with all health team members. The RN/LPN organizes those aspects of nursing care for which she/he is accountable in a specified work period.

- Licensed to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of South Dakota.
- Experience working as an RN/LPN in a clinic setting.
- Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months.
- CPR certified.
- Consistently requires a high degree of social sensitivity and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare personnel within and outside the agency.
- Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate lifting of clients and equipment (up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly).
- Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease.
- Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
