The Annual Giving Coordinator supports the Zion National Park Forever Project’s Development team by executing initiatives that strengthen donor engagement, retention, and acquisition. This position is responsible for implementing digital, print, and in-person campaigns, crafting compelling written content, and assisting in the stewardship processes for donors. The role requires strong writing skills, an understanding of nonprofit fundraising, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure consistent donor communications and experiences.

The Forever Project’s headquarters are in Zion National Park. The Coordinator position is located in the philanthropy office in Hurricane, UT.
What You’ll Do Annual Giving Program Execution – 50%- Execute Annual Giving initiatives (digital, physical, internal, and external crowdfunding).
- Manage a portfolio of annual donors.
- Coordinate year‑end and seasonal appeals, including email, direct mail, and social campaigns.
- Collaborate with Visual Communications Manager on creative materials and campaign assets.
- Support diversification of Annual Giving revenue sources.
- Assist with stewardship processes, including donor acknowledgments, thank‑you letters, care packages, and email communication.
- Oversee consistent, mission‑driven communication with Annual Giving donors to strengthen retention and acquisition.
- Partner with internal teams (i.e., Retail, other members of the Development Team, etc.) to deliver timely donor touchpoints and engagement opportunities.
- Participate in events as needed to support cultivation and stewardship.
- Draft and edit content for newsletters, Field Guide, donor stewardship pieces, annual reports, tax letters, and campaign communications.
- Ensure all written content reflects ZFP’s mission, vision, and values.
- Translate strategic direction into compelling communications for various stakeholders, both internal and external.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a nonprofit setting.
- Demonstrated copywriting and communications experience.
- Working knowledge of best practices for fundraising.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the above minimum qualifications.
