We’re looking for a Business Account Executive to join our Commercial Sales team. In this role you will be a solution seller, identifying opportunities to leverage TDS’s full complement of solutions and technology offerings—hosted and premise‑based VoIP, managed services, and web security. You are a business‑to‑business sales professional accountable for developing new business through cold calling and prospecting. You will uncover customer needs, understand key business drivers, and deliver compelling TDS solutions that meet their business needs.

Cover a hybrid office presence in St. George, UT: three days a week in office, the rest of the week out in the field prospecting every weekday. Target earnable compensation exceeds $88,920 per year (Base + Commission).

Responsibilities
  • Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers via telephone and in‑person cold calls, networking, and referrals to obtain appointments.
  • Meet or exceed sales growth targets by conducting calls to determine customer needs, gain information, and communicate TDS’s value proposition.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer status and forecasts in CRM (Salesforce), building and sustaining relationships with customers and leads.
  • Leverage the TDS CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategies that ensure high activity and effective closing ratios.
  • Write and submit accurate and timely new orders following the established sales process.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • 1+ years of cold‑calling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Other Qualifications
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing, multi‑system environment.
  • Proven ability to manage a territory using technology, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
  • Track record of success in B2B sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive ability demonstrated in interviews and telephone conversations.
  • Cell phone access.
  • Goal‑setting and attainment capacity, evidenced by a track record of setting goals, creating a work plan, establishing rewards, working diligently, measuring performance, adjusting as needed, and accomplishing the goal.
  • Independent work style, evidenced by identifying problems, gathering data, weighing facts, consulting when necessary, making decisions, and implementing them effectively.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, Internet).
  • Ability to maintain quota levels.
