Hours:
Various/on-call to include holidays, nights and weekends.
As a non-sworn civilian member of the Sheriff's Office, performs a variety of assignments and duties as needed in monitoring the daily activities and functions of the county correctional facility.
Monitors interior and exterior areas of the correctional facility through visual and audio observations to ensure the safety of the prisoners, visitors, volunteers, employees, and the overall security of the facility.
Monitors two-way radio communication.
Answers telephones and provides customer service, as trained and directed.
Operates electronic control (e.g., doors, gates, etc.), computer, security, alarm, visual, and audio (e.g., intercom and two-way radios) systems.
Controls prisoner, visitor, volunteer, and employee access to secure areas.
Prepares daily logs and reports and enters information into computer databases to capture daily activities.
Safeguard confidential information.
Education and Experience- Graduated from High School
- Sufficient experience to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform the duties related to the position.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License.
- Must pass a detailed background investigation.
- Must be able to pass training requirements.
