As a Bridge/Structural Engineer with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be responsible for leading design and plan development tasks, and performing structural analysis/design for a variety of structure types, including highway, railroad and bike/ped structures. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable performing bridge inspections and load ratings. Responsibilities
- Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver bridge projects, or lead bridge /structural tasks as part of a project team, including plan and report production
- Assist in the development of project proposals, scope, and schedules
- Help to develop, monitor, and maintain engineering budgets
- Serve as a quality assurance team review member and mentor for a team of bridge/structural engineers
- Coordinate with sub-consultants and in-house technical staff to meet project deadlines
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis (M.S. a plus);
- P.E. registration or ability to obtain one in the near future;
- 7+ years of relevant bridge design experience;
- Strong technical skills relevant to bridge/structural design and analysis;
- Experience in leading Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Working experience with marketing, business development, project pursuits, and proposal preparation a plus;
- Working knowledge of Microstation and/or Civil 3D.
