Key Responsibilities- Assist the Branch Manager in achieving sales and revenue goals by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services that benefit customers.
- Act as a “Keeper of the Woodforest Culture,” energizing the team around retail objectives and initiatives.
- Develop and lead innovative strategies to grow, retain, and deepen consumer and business relationships.
- Grow business deposits and loans through inside and outside calling.
- Enhance customer experience by welcoming, engaging, and building relationships with customers, community members, and retail partners.
- Embrace and lead technology‑driven customer experiences.
- Partner with a Community Development Relationship Manager to execute community engagement initiatives.
- Coaching and inspiring team members to reach their full potential and act as positive role models.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Exhibit operational excellence by adhering diligently to policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality, follow directions, and apply proper policies and guidelines.
- Practice branch security procedures and protect customer confidentiality.
- Perform branch servicing duties: paying and receiving, cash and vault balancing, ordering cash, cards, reports, audits and control checks, maintaining ATMs, and keeping work areas clean.
- Practice prudent expense management.
- Address customer questions and concerns by telephone or in person, or refer to an appropriate internal resource with ownership until final resolution.
- Proactive in seeking business outside the branch.
- Goal‑oriented, disciplined, strong interpersonal skills, sales aptitude, and comfortable with outside sales.
- Open to direct coaching and feedback.
- Ability to work flexible or extended hours to meet business needs; demonstrated reliability.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability, composure, and positive attitude with customers and team members.
- Quick learner of products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, sales and service processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, prioritization, multi‑tasking, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of instructions, forms, applications, financial statements, and credit reports.
- Three years of relevant and transferable sales and/or customer service experience. OR an Associate’s degree and two years of sales/customer service experience.
OR a Bachelor’s degree and one year of sales/customer service experience. - Demonstrable leadership ability; prior supervisory experience helpful.
- Previous in‑store banking experience preferred.
- Positive and engaging demeanor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Full‑time.
- Mentor or lead a team of more junior staff; no formal personnel decisions.
- Up to 25% or more outside the branch or as needed by customers.
- Standing most of the time; may involve walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.
