Essential Responsibilities:

• Tutor basic arithmetic, algebra, and higher level math concepts to students who need assistance in math or math related courses.
• Maintain accurate accounts of supplies in the math lab, informing supervisor and/or administrative assistant in a timely fashion when something needs to be replaced or has gone missing.
• Alert supervisor to any problems and/or concerns related to the math lab or to the learning center in general.
• Model best practices of professional tutoring, including maintenance of open communication with peer tutors and supervisor.
• Promote implementation of adopted learning center procedures.
• Communicate with online students through Learning Zone, Zoom, and email, answering questions and referring students to appropriate web sources.
• Participate in tutor training and other training as needed.
• Report progress of students to instructional staff.
• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
• Comply with Hutch
  
  CC policies, procedures, and practices.
• Serve actively on Hutch
  
  CC committees.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Rimmer Support Services, such as conducting seminars and workshops, and sharing the supervision of the center as needed.
