Quality Engineer

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our company.

• Knowing and understanding of quality norms and concepts from customer, national and international standards to ensure their proper application within the organization. Participation in the validation of the robustness of materials/components/products and processes implemented.
• Analysing production, supplier and customer reject data and implementing action plans for preventative actions where required. Compiling quality alerts. Assessing need for and scope of Inspection Control plans and checking completed plans. Attending Design Reviews as required.
• Undertaking Internal audits.
• Audit the Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO part 145).
• Zero Defects (Make right first time).
• Improve and automate inspection and test techniques, equipment etc.
• Managing customer and Certifying Body (AS9100) audits.
• Managing Delegated Product Release (DPRV(RR)/DSQR(GE))
• Implementation of problem-solving methodologies
• AS13100 compliance
• Approval of new suppliers and support for progress plans.
• Defining, in agreement with the customers and suppliers, the quality requirements to be taken into account in the monitoring plan.
• Manage supplier audit schedule (Target of 6 per year).
• Monitoring the changes in customers’ needs and ensuring that they are taken into account by the organisation and its suppliers.
• Protecting the interests of the organisation in the face of changing customer quality requirements.
• Working with the QAM to improve the Quality Management System procedures and strategic quality action plans.
• Assist with compiling yearly Management Reviews (QMS, env and H&S)
• Responsible for the monthly quality reporting to group.
• Completing ‘customer eyes over-checks’ (Inspection as required). (The majority of CEO to be completed by inspection, except special cases)
• Checking FAIRs in AS9102 format using Visual FAIR and Net-Inspect.
• C of C sign off.

• Electromechanical aerospace assembly quality experience
