2nd SHIFT CAD Operator

$13.00/hr – $15.00/hr

Sets up, programs, and operates CAD digital machine according to specifications of job travelers. Other duties may include weeding, cutting and assisting in other areas in Finishing.

• Operates CAD machine to produce custom shape and cut vinyl products.
• Understands job traveler.
• Understands machine set-up and I‑cut software.
• Knows how to proof new art from prepress.
• Knows how to locate, use and update the CAD files.
• Knows how to produce basic CAD Cut only jobs on pigmented vinyl.
• Proof read, verify and produce Micro‑Cut orders.
• Examines products for quality, and makes adjustments as needed.
• Remove finished or pre‑finished material from cutter for next operation.
• Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Maintains housekeeping standards.
• Assist in other finishing operations as needed.
• Remove excess vinyl from graphic as other graphics are getting cut.
• Must produce consistent quality graphics.

• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Must have problem solving skills.
• General knowledge of finishing.
• Must be somewhat mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Must have basic troubleshooting skills.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be deadline driven and flexible to respond to changing requirements with tight deadlines.

• Atmosphere heated and cooled to production temperature.
• Cement floor with anti‑fatigue mats provided for comfort.
• Clean working environment.

• Required to reach level 3 physical capacity test post hire.

Should be able to stand for entire work period including overtime if needed.

• Occasionally walking, change of position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, fingering, feeling and grasping.
• Will occasionally lift 20 to 50 pounds and 10 to 25 pounds frequently.

This is a full time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hour may vary depending on department and shift. Additional hours will be required to complete projects.

High School diploma or equivalency.
