Base pay: $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Schedule- Full‑time, Monday – Friday with an on‑call rotation.
- Requires travel to clients' homes; 1:1 client care may take 1–3 hours per client.
- Reports to the Hutchinson, MN office; provides services in Hutchinson and surrounding cities.

- Provides treatments to restore and enhance the client’s physical and psychosocial function under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Carries out occupational therapy maintenance programs developed by the licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrates therapy program for home health aide, family member, or other responsible person who may assist the client with their home occupational therapy program as directed.
- Reinforces teaching of the home therapy program to client, family, or caregivers as directed.
- Maintains appropriate documentation for the clinical record as required by Company policy and procedure.
- Confers with the licensed Occupational Therapist regarding client’s progress and Plan of Care changes.
- Participates in case conferences and in‑service education.
- Maintains positive and effective communication with all staff and others; participates in the team concept.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality of all client, family, and employee information.
- Occupational Therapy Assistants cannot perform evaluation, treatment planning, plan of care changes, supervision, or design/fabrication/fitting of orthotic devices.
Heavy to very heavy. Involves lifting clients, bending, stooping, stretching, and setting up equipment. Must be adaptable to a variety of environments and community settings. Must be able to drive or use public transportation in all types of weather. Exertion may involve lifting; weights: >100 lbs occasionally, >50 lbs frequently, >20 lbs constantly.
Qualifications- Graduate of a two‑year COTA (Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant) program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association and licensed in Minnesota. License must be current and unrestricted.
- At least two years of experience in a health‑care setting or equivalent; home‑care experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication and teaching skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation to travel to multiple business stops a day.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business.
- Proof of negative Mantoux or documentation of negative chest x‑ray.
- Current CPR certification recommended.
- U.S. citizenship or valid Alien Work Permit.
- Disclosure of any criminal history related to health services; candidates with such convictions will not be hired.
- Pass initial and ongoing background checks and screenings, including those of the Minnesota Department of Health and the Federal Office of the Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.
