Resonetics – Hutchinson, MN

Resonetics Hutchinson is looking for a Machinist Apprentice to join their team. Full‑time hours are available through the summer with flexible hours throughout the school year to align with class schedules.

• Translate requirements of detailed part drawings and job instructions into machining methods to accurately create finished parts.
• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment under the supervision of a full‑time Resonetics machinist.
• Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
• Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required.
• Provide assistance to others and may be required to move to other machines if needed.
• Conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner, maintaining a high standard of conduct and performance.
• Ensure written manufacturing and other procedures are followed.
• Ensure proper compliance with company policies and quality regulations.
• Focus on safety and follow all safety rules and requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Enrollment in a Machine Tool Technology program.
• Good standing with the school and a cumulative average of "C" or better.
• Strong mechanical and technical abilities.
• Able to read technical data such as blueprints and routings.
• Machinist Math, GD&T, and inspection methods.
• Professional and appropriate conduct, maintaining a high standard of performance.
• Shift is flexible and can be changed to accommodate current courses/schedule.

• Understanding of G and M code.
• Proven understanding of tooling requirements to set up and operate machines in the departments, including pre‑setting of tools.

• May stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to use a microscope, including manipulating small objects under a microscope.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $20.00‑22.00/hr.
