Custom Metal Fabricator

Description

Goebel is seeking a skilled and motivated Custom Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. This role combines fabrication, precision welding, and craftsmanship to build high-end metal fixtures for some of the world's leading luxury brands.

The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, fabricating components, and performing high-quality TIG and Laser welds on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and mild steel. As a member of Goebel's Metal Shop team, you'll work on unique custom projects in a collaborative environment where craftsmanship, innovation, and continuous improvement are valued every day.

• Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom metal components and fixtures to specification.
• Perform precision TIG and Laser welding on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and mild steel.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and shop documents.
• Lay out, fit, form, and assemble metal parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, woodworking, finishing, and production teams to ensure project success.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining Goebel's high standards of craftsmanship and quality.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within the department.

• TIG (GTAW) welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience fabricating with stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and mild steel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

• Handheld laser welding experience.
• 1-2 year welding/fabrication degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience building custom, architectural, or fixture-based metal products.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
