Purpose:
Assist in providing behavioral and/or social/emotional skill support to students with disabilities in the school environment. Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans, as written, assist in delivering social skill instruction, and record/maintain behavioral and social skill data. Assist in providing crisis intervention, as needed. Work under the immediate direction of a certified teacher and general supervision of the campus principal.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED Valid Texas educational aide certificate or willing to obtain certificate
- SAMA certification (or able to obtain after hire)
Skills:
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effective
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Two years’ experience working with school-aged children preferred?
