- Monitor production processes to ensure internal and external quality standards are met
- Monitor production processes to ensure internal and external quality standards are met
- Identify defects or deviations from specifications by continually inspecting products and materials
- Establish and maintain quality control systems and procedures
- Collect and analyze data from production processes and performance metrics to identify trends, issues, root causes of defects and areas for improvement and opportunities for process optimization
- Generate reports on quality performance, defect rates, and corrective actions
- Present findings and recommendations to management for quality improvements
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and RandD teams to identify opportunities for process and product improvement
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues
- Train laboratory staff on quality standards, inspection methods, and proper documentation
- Provide technical support and guidance to teams on quality control procedures
- Promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure materials meet required specifications
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve the quality of incoming materials
- Manage quality measurement facilities and tools
- Participate in activities to achieve quality, productivity, scrap, and cost reduction goals
- Track production performance metrics and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management
