Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area. This position, based in Hutto, TX
, requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc., and adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
• Must have valid active Driver s license

• Roadway maintenance experience
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• CDL License a plus

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record and drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Full time;
Day shift Monday - Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm with some night and weekend work if needed. Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday 7:30pm – 4:00am with some day and weekend work if needed. Must be flexible and able to work during snow and ice weather events.

Starting rate of $17.00/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience. CDL Class A drivers starting rate of $26.00+/hr.
