Senior Electrical Estimator

Mart’z Electric Inc. is an electrical contracting company specializing in commercial and residential electrical construction throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia (DMV) area. Our services include electrical wiring, installations, fire alarm systems, electrical panels, power distribution, and general electrical improvements. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Hyattsville, MD. This is a full-time, on-site position for a professional with a strong understanding of electrical construction, cost estimating, and project bidding.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently reviewing electrical construction plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and developing competitive bids for commercial and residential projects throughout the DMV area.

• Review and interpret electrical construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed electrical estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and associated project costs.
• Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs using Red Rhino estimating software.
• Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and contractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Prepare, review, and submit electrical bids and proposals within established deadlines.
• Maintain organized estimating records, pricing information, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with management to evaluate project requirements and bidding opportunities.

• Proficiency in Red Rhino electrical estimating software required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications required.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, labor costs, and construction methods.
• Ability to independently interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing detailed electrical estimates and competitive project bids.
  
  Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

• Pay: $27–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• Commission: 1% commission on awarded projects.
