Compensation: $280K - $350K per year DOE
Overview:
Nexus HR is looking for a full-time, board-certified Glaucoma Specialist Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Glaucoma for one of our client’s well-established ophthalmology center in Hyattsville, Maryland. The ideal candidate will join a high-volume practice that has been serving the community for over two decades and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional patient care.
This position is for a client located in Hyattsville, MD, with three practice locations across the area. The role involves providing comprehensive ophthalmologic care, performing a wide range of diagnostic and surgical procedures, and managing existing patients from a robust referral base. The incoming Ophthalmologist will work collaboratively with a team of experienced physicians, optometrists, and support staff in a modern facility.

Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Perform cataract, glaucoma, and anterior segment surgeries as applicable.
Manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions and postoperative care.
Collaborate with referring physicians and participate in marketing and networking activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Utilize the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Supervise and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff for efficient workflow.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of specialized experience managing and treating glaucoma cases.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Active or eligible for Maryland state medical license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Fellowship training in Glaucoma or Comprehensive Ophthalmology preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
