• Maintain full familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans on assigned contracts, the Project Management Plan, and current safety regulations to be knowledgeable of the project team (i.e., WMATA, consultants, and multiple contractors) responsibilities;
• Design-related coordination within WMATA, including but not limited to Engineering, Architecture and Communication Support/Market Outreach;
• Develop design scopes of work for Requests for Proposals (RFPs);
• Assist WMATA in overseeing General Architectural and/or Engineering (GAEC) services and coordinating submittals;
• Assist WMATA in reviewing design packages and coordinating with the appropriate WMATA Departments;
• Review plans for code compliance and gap analysis;
• Ensure that all project deliverables, including design packages, are complete and coordinated through quality reviews;
• Manage the progress of design and completion of activities/deliverables within the agreed-upon budget and schedule;
• Coordinate among the design disciplines and engineers of record (EORs) to ensure consistency in the deliverables;
• Coordinate design certification through WMATA’s Safety and Security Certification Program;
• Prepare and distribute all correspondence, memoranda, action lists, and related material to stakeholders;
• Facilitate design coordination between PFAC project Contractors, other external stakeholders, and their third-party Contractors.
• Prepare and submit required monthly progress reports to WMATA;
• Coordinate with the Integration Manager on close-out related efforts;
• Ensure all as-built drawings associated with all work are complete, accurate, and provided to WMATA;
• Attend all meetings necessary for the completion of the work, including meetings requested by WMATA’s Task Manager; and
• Coordinate final disposition of design submittals through review of formal responses.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field;
• Fifteen (15) years of project management and/or construction management experience, with four (4) years of design oversight experience in the transit industry;
• Registered Professional Engineer in VA, MD, or DC;
• Working knowledge of engineering requirements, program policies and procedures by which WMATA is governed including Federal, state, and local transit administration regulations and policies;
• Demonstrated experience in planning, execution, and delivery of projects within a matrix organization and during operation of revenue generating facilities;
• Experience conveying technical information verbally and in written communication;
• Familiarity with WMATA design criteria and standards;
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification; and
• Experience with Microsoft 365® including Power BI and Procore.
