We are dedicated to providing high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their income or employment status, and our commitment to underserved communities is a core part of our mission.

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Mental Health Clinicians to join our Mobile Response Team (MRT) in Prince George’s County. The MRT was developed to provide effective responses to mental health crises and to divert individuals from unnecessary legal system involvement and/or hospitalization. Available 24/7/365, our MRT is involved in providing immediate crisis intervention, clinical evaluation, collaboration with internal or external therapists, referral to other agencies, and advocacy for any treatment deemed necessary beyond the initial crisis.

As a Lead Clinician of the MRT, you will lead staff toward excellence in clinical assessment; care and stabilization of individuals in crisis; and management of crisis scenes. You will lead and work alongside peer support staff in responding to crises throughout PG County, playing a critical role in our mission to save lives in the community.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to mental health crisis calls and provide immediate crisis assessment and intervention on site as appropriate.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs and make referrals to appropriate services as necessary.
  • Connect clients to support services, including employment, education, and economic benefit programs.
  • Offer harm reduction options, such as life‑saving naloxone, while promoting treatment.
  • Work to divert clients from the criminal justice system for low‑level behavioral health related offenses.
  • Collaborate with other MRT members to provide a coordinated response to crisis situations.
  • Communicate clients’ needs to multi‑disciplinary teams, such as law enforcement and hospital staff.
  • Provide de‑escalation techniques and other clinical interventions to clients in crisis.
  • Lead a team of peer support staff, ensuring compliance with the MRT mission.
  • Provide clinical education and training to peer support staff as necessary.
  • Document each client contact in a timely and accurate manner.
