We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Technical Lead to join our inclusive team. Responsibilities- Lead the technical design, development and delivery of software and cloud solutions across multiple projects, ensuring high quality, reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with product owners, project managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Define and own solution architecture, technical standards, and best practices including code quality, testing, security and operational readiness.
- Mentor and coach engineers across the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Drive technical decision‑making, trade‑off analysis and risk mitigation, balancing delivery timelines with long‑term maintainability.
- Support project planning and estimation, provide technical guidance during sprint planning and ensure engineering tasks align with delivery objectives.
- Champion Dev Ops practices and automation for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring and incident response to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
- Engage in hands‑on development when required, reviewing code, designing key components and contributing to complex technical work streams.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing improvements to technology stacks and delivery practices.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering role with responsibility for technical leadership, architecture or team mentoring.
- Strong software engineering skills in one or more languages (for example Python, Java, C# or JavaScript/Type Script) and familiarity with modern frameworks and patterns.
- Practical experience designing and operating cloud‑native solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
- Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, data integration, and distributed systems principles.
- Experience with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM Templates, Cloud Formation) and containerisation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving capability, attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Experience with cloud architecture patterns, cost optimisation and performance tuning in production environments.
- Familiarity with security best practices, compliance requirements and secure design principles.
- Prior exposure to enterprise integration, data platforms or analytics architectures is advantageous.
- Leadership experience in Agile delivery environments and a track record of delivering complex, client‑facing projects.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., cloud provider architect certs, Kubernetes, or security accreditations) are beneficial.
