Job Description

The successful candidate will:

Analyze, define, and interpret business and customer needs, creating detailed requirements documents.

Lead and participate in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating current and future business processes.

Lead and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, focusing on defining business needs, documenting them, validating system designs, and conducting comprehensive system and UAT testing.

Maintain all QA testing artifacts, including test plans, test cases, test steps, metrics, and reports, perform test data preparation, execute tests, record defects, and provide status updates.

Lead JAD sessions and design reviews to ensure designs meet user requirements, managing enhancements, automations, and implementations from concept to deployment.

Produce Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) and conduct gap analysis reports.

Ensure all tests are conducted and documented according to standards, overseeing overall testing success, including verification and releases.

Track and manage open issues, plan resolutions, analyze change requests, and provide effort estimates and status updates.

Lead requirements elicitation, walkthroughs, and scrum standups with stakeholders, attending review and status meetings as needed.

Position Requirements

U.S. Citizenship
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and system and UAT testing in large, complex projects.
Experience in business process analysis, workflow diagrams, and requirements analysis.
Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
At least 4 years of successful use of SDLC methodologies or related knowledge.
Working knowledge of testing client-server applications, web applications, web services, security, performance, UI, and Sec.
508 compliance.
Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Visual Fox Pro.
Understanding of web and client/server architectures.
Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Organizational skills to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, and testing tools like IBM Rational suite.
Experience modeling requirements with techniques such as Data Flow Diagrams, Use Cases, and Prototyping.
Leadership skills including coaching and mentoring.

Nice to Have:

Experience with distributed systems.
Experience in government projects.
