Associate Asset Protection - Security

Overview

FT Associate Asset Protection - Security - 0140 at Giant Food. Asset protection associates are responsible for the protection of company assets by investigating losses including merchandise, money and property. This role focuses on preventing loss and shrink through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other LP tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues in the stores within the area of responsibility.
• Tour stores daily to identify deficiencies and execute corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce or control merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and assist in executing shrink reduction strategies during store visits. Check areas such as rotation, backroom organization and other follow-up areas assigned by supervision.
• Review shrink reports and assist in responding to issues and opportunities observed in assigned stores.
• Support the implementation and communication of company safety and security policies and training programs.
• Contribute to creating a store environment safe from theft and secure for associates.

• High School Diploma
• Driver's License and transportation; travel across multiple stores in a district/region required
• Up to one year of related experience
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation-related information
• Basic skills in MS Office

Pay Range: 16.59 - 26.54
