I.Job Summary
Safely operates a tractor‑trailer or straight truck with a pup trailer (or other vehicle requiring a Class A CDL) on designated routes.
II.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company expectations, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
- Performs pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using eDVIR; notes all issues for corrective review.
- Reports unsafe situations or unscheduled service calls to Operations Manager and Dispatch before attempting service.
- Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Operations Manager.
- Works with Operations Managers and Dispatch to improve route efficiencies and identify problems or unsafe accounts.
- Performs all duties scheduled by Operations Manager and Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
- Notifies Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notifies Operations Manager and Dispatch of issues per Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, services that cannot be completed, or problems that arise on the route.
- Communicates customer requests, issues, or service changes to Operations Manager and Dispatch.
- Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Positions containers on the customer’s property ensuring they do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.

Education and Experience
- Education:
None required. - Experience:
1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years required.
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A upon hire required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
- Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than X pounds frequently.
- Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to X lbs.
- Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a GPS‑monitored vehicle.
- Will be exposed to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
The expected base pay for this on‑site position is $30 per hour. The specific salary offered may vary based on relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
