Role Description This is a full-time on-site Article Trainee role based in Hyderabad. The Article Trainee will assist in audit and assurance engagements, including vouching, verification of accounts, documentation, and preparation of working papers under the supervision of senior team members. The role involves supporting tax compliance activities such as preparing returns, compiling financial data, and assisting in assessments and filings.
The trainee will help in bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, and maintenance of accounting records for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities also include data entry, basic financial analysis, coordinating with clients for information, and adhering to professional standards and timelines. The role offers structured training, exposure to multiple domains, and opportunities to learn and apply accounting, taxation, and audit concepts in practice.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including financial statement preparation and basic bookkeeping.
Understanding of auditing concepts, internal controls, and documentation practices, with an interest in statutory and tax audits.
Basic familiarity with direct and indirect taxation, including tax returns, compliance requirements, and related regulations.
Comfort with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software; ability to work accurately with numerical data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to follow structured processes.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work diligently under supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
Enrollment in or completion of the CA Intermediate/IPCC or equivalent professional course as per ICAI requirements; prior internship or practical exposure in a CA firm is an advantage.
