Position: Associate Professor – Physics (Full-Time)

About the Role
Amity University Hyderabad invites applications from highly motivated, research-oriented, and academically accomplished candidates for the position of Associate Professor in Physics. The selected candidate will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic leadership within the department. Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physics, including core areas such as Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Materials Science, and related specializations.
Develop and update curriculum, course content, laboratory exercises, and assessment methodologies.
Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed Scopus/SCI/ESCI-indexed journals.
Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research projects.
Apply for funded research projects and establish collaborations with academic and industry partners.
Mentor students for academic, research, and career development.
Participate in departmental committees, accreditation activities, academic administration, and university initiatives.
Contribute to interdisciplinary research and innovation activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Physics from a recognized university.
Consistently strong academic record throughout Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral studies.
Minimum 12 years of teaching/research experience in higher education institutions, with relevant post-Ph.D. experience preferred.
Demonstrated research excellence with publications in reputed indexed journals.
Experience in supervising postgraduate and/or doctoral research scholars.
Proven ability to attract research funding and develop collaborative research projects.
Desired Skills
Strong subject expertise across major Physics disciplines.
Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring abilities.
Experience with modern teaching technologies, simulations, and learning management systems.
Ability to foster interdisciplinary research and industry engagement.
Leadership skills and experience in academic administration.
