The Dean will provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, executive, and lifelong learning programs while positioning the School among the leading global institutions in technology education and research.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a bold strategic vision for the School aligned with the University's global ambitions.
Build internationally recognized research centres in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, Sustainable Engineering, Human-Centered Computing, and Emerging Technologies.
Recruit, mentor, and retain world-class faculty from leading global institutions.
Increase research funding through competitive grants, philanthropy, and industry partnerships.
Lead curriculum innovation emphasizing interdisciplinary learning, AI integration, experiential education, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.
Foster a vibrant innovation ecosystem through incubators, startups, technology transfer, and commercialization.
Build strategic collaborations with leading universities, governments, research laboratories, and multinational corporations.
Strengthen accreditation, rankings, international visibility, and global partnerships.
Champion student success through high-quality teaching, career outcomes, and international mobility.
Manage the School's academic operations, budgeting, faculty development, governance, and quality assurance.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
A PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
Credentials suitable for appointment as Full Professor.
A distinguished international record of research, publications, citations, and funded projects.
Proven experience leading academic transformation as Dean, Associate Dean, Head of School, or equivalent senior leadership role.
Demonstrated success in faculty recruitment, research ecosystem development, accreditation, and strategic planning.
Strong relationships with industry, government, and international academic networks.
Experience establishing innovation hubs, startup ecosystems, or technology commercialization initiatives.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and change management capabilities.
