Role Summary

The Registrar – Radiology will support the Radiology Department by performing and reporting diagnostic imaging studies, assisting consultants, and ensuring high standards of diagnostic accuracy, patient safety, and timely reporting in accordance with hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, USG, CT, and MRI as per competency level
- Assist consultants in reporting and interventional procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate radiology reports to support clinical decision-making
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and quality standards
- Coordinate with clinicians, technologists, and nursing staff for smooth workflow
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting in RIS/PACS
- Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement, and academic activities
- Handle emergency imaging requirements on a shift basis

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Qualification:

MD / DNB (Radiology) – Mandatory
- Registration:
Valid NMC / State Medical Council registration

- Experience:

0–3 years post-qualification (freshers may be considered)

Skills & Competencies

- Strong diagnostic and reporting skills
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems
- Attention to detail and ability to meet turnaround times
- Effective communication with clinical teams
- Willingness to work in shifts and handle emergency cases
